Who We Are
Welcome to The Millwork Outlet! We're thrilled you're here and can't wait help you with your projects. We realize you want to trust the companies you buy from and the products you bring into your home. So we thought we'd show off our Midwest manners and tell you a bit about us.
We've been in Elkhart, Indiana, since the 1970's as the "outlet" store for a local millwork manufacturer, American Millwork LLC. If you visit our store, you will hear the saws in the background, smell the fresh cut wood and see a bit of sawdust flying in the air. For over 50 years, we've been a reliable millwork supplier for DIY'ers, contractors and remodelers.

We sell strictly hardwoods, primarily Red Oak, White Oak, Poplar and Maple, but you will find a little Cherry and other species in our bins. Our paint grade product is a Fingerjoint Poplar which means it will be more durable and longer-lasting than softwoods like Pine or engineered products like MDF.
What we sell online:
Some of our most exciting products, like butcher block shelves, wood shiplap, tongue & groove paneling and handrail, are available in our online store. Most of these products are available with free or flat rate shipping, taking the guesswork out of the delivered price. We focus on quality so all of our products are solid American-sourced hardwoods manufactured with precision milling. Due to shipping restraints, currently any product longer than 8' is available for local pick up only.
What to expect:
Quality
Quality is a big deal to us! Because we sell only hardwoods and source from a quality-focused local mill, our trim is superior to what you will find at other retailers. Hardwoods like Poplar and Red Oak are less susceptible to gouging and dents in addition to being much easier to install.
Price
We are mill-direct which means we cut out all of the middlemen. Our prices are very competitive even when compared to lesser quality products.
Selection
Our warehouse isn't fancy and we don't have a lot of frills. But our warehouse only has trim and boards which means we have nearly twice the inventory of other local retailers. You can see our stock list online and we often have other special buys or "second-grade" product at a discount.
Service
We know trim. It's our specialty so we can help you find what you need, make suggestions for your job and answer your questions. We'll help you bundle up your trim and load it in your vehicle.

We are a proud family-owned, American-made company, owned and managed by a father and son former Marines. All of our hardwoods are sustainably grown and harvested within the United States.
