Questions & Answers

Have a Question?

Ask a Question
  • how to stain the poplar wainscoting, we bought our panels from you a while back, ready to do the install now.

We would recommend the following steps when staining:

    1. Sand with sanding sponge to make smooth and take any fuzz off the wood.
    2. Apply wood conditioner.
    3. Stain of your choice.
    4. Clear polyurethane topcoat.
Follow the manufacturer's instructions for the wood conditioner, stain and topcoat. Thanks for your question and purchase!

  • What are the dimensions of the pieces?

    Each box contains:

    1 piece - ½” x 5-1/2” x 72” Poplar Board (Base)
    1 piece - ½” x 3-1/2” x 72” Poplar Board (Header)
    6 pieces - ¼” x 3-1/2” x 48” Poplar Board (Batten)
    3 pieces - ¼” x 3-1/2” x 23-7/8” Poplar Board (Cross Pieces)
    1 piece - ½” x 1-3/8” x 72” Poplar Base Shoe
    1 piece - 9/16” x ¾” x 72” Poplar Shelf Edge

Hope that helps! Let us know if we can answer any other questions for you.

Quick and easy!

Ordered 3 kits for our bedroom. They arrived ahead of schedule, and I installed them last weekend. Really easy to put up, the longest part was the math to figure out spacing.

Best part? It's all actual wood. Love that.

Of the three kits, one of the footer boards was thicker than the other two. I didn't realize it until I had already nailed it on. Some wood filler and sanding fixed most of it, but keep an eye on that if you use more than 1 kit.

I also recommend a light sanding of the board faces and edges.

Installed raw photo included. Primed and painted white, and repainted the blue.

I haven’t put it up yet but really happy with the quality
